Case Study:
You work as a consultant for a medium-sized retail company that sells a variety of products online and in physical stores. The company has experienced rapid growth in the past few years, leading to several challenges in managing its operations and providing high-quality services to its customers. The company has decided to implement a new information system to improve its operations, enhance its customer service, and increase its sales.
The company’s current IT infrastructure includes several legacy systems that are outdated and difficult to maintain. These systems are not integrated, leading to problems in managing data, processing orders, and tracking inventory. In addition, the company has faced several cybersecurity issues, including data breaches and unauthorized access to its systems.
The company’s management team has decided to implement a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to address these challenges. The new system will integrate all the company’s operations, including finance, accounting, sales, marketing, and inventory management. The system will also provide advanced data analytics and reporting capabilities to help the company make informed decisions.
As a consultant, your task is to prepare a 10-minute presentation that outlines the key requirements for the new system, including the following:
- A description of the current IT infrastructure, including the legacy systems, their limitations, and the problems they cause for the company.
- An overview of the new ERP system, including its features, capabilities, and benefits for the company.
- A discussion of the key requirements for the new system, including the business processes that need to be integrated, the data that needs to be migrated, and the security and privacy concerns that need to be addressed.
- An explanation of the project management approach that will be used to implement the new system, including the roles and responsibilities of the project team, the timeline for the project, and the key deliverables.

- Your presentation must be submitted as a video recording.
- You should provide appropriate references to support your arguments and ensure these match KBS guidelines. Provide at least ten (10) academic references in Kaplan Harvard style.
