What should be in my reflection paper and how is it assessed?
Your reflection paper should be a minimum of 1,000 words (double spaced, Arial or
Times New Roman, font size 11 or 12).
It should address the following what you have discovered about your subject in making
your book, including:
o The themes, patterns and ideas that have emerged for you
o Your understanding of your subject at it exists in the world of art and
literature
o The poetic and symbolic qualities of your subject that have been
revealed to you
o How your understanding of your subject has changed during the
making of your slideshow
o How you found and curated your outside sources
It should also address your own creative work:
o What your intentions were for each of the individual pieces you
made
o How these interact with or engage with the outside sources you
have found
o Your processes in making them
o Your discoveries, challenges, or realizations in making them
o How your creative pieces engage with the narratological techniques,
artistic concerns, and ideas about medicine and sickness we
discussed in relation to our readings over the semester
