US Attorney General & Protocol on How to Handle Ransomware Research Paper

The US Attorney General has summoned you to develop a report, she wants you to identify what you think are the three or four issues (reference to cyber crime.) that need to be taken on by the DoJ as priorities moving forward.
1. Data breaches
2. education on how to protecting personal informaton from getting hack
3. protocol on how to handle Ransomware
The AG wants to give you wide latitude on this project so you can approach this from the perspective of any of the following:
- Law enforcement
- Select a specific FEDERAL or STATE level agency (NOT THE FBI) and assess the issues in light of that agencies mission.
- You can play the role of a CEO of major international corporation and present the same brief to the AG from the perspective helping businesses.
- Remember, have a different mission than the public sector, which is, at the most bottom-line, enhancing shareholder wealth.
- Also, if you choose to go this route it needs to be aspecific corporate entity- meaning- one that really exists.
- A variation on this second option is that you can do your analysis from the perspective of a particular industry rather than a specific firm. You have some lattitude on this
What’s key here is you present an empirically grounded argument for what you think are the top issues and why and what you think ought to be done in order to improve the ability of those entities to respond to the issues you believe are most critical. Also important is that you demonstrate your comprehension of the the assigned materials from this course. IN OTHER WORDS… given all of the issues, ideas, concepts, crimes, and behaviors covered in this class… AND given all of the consequences and effects of these matters and their potential impacts and threats to social, political, and economic stability which, do you argue, should be prioritized by the government in their response and why. That’s it. That’s the ‘deal’.
