The purpose of this project is to pick an area of Psychology which interests you and delve deeper into it, research to learn more about it, and design a project to present the information you learned in an informative, educational and creative way.
There are many approaches to this assignment (see examples below) however ALL projects will be videotaped as the final product will be the submission of the hyperlink. The video must be between 7-8 minutes to receive full credit, and while it is acceptable for the video to be longer than 8 minutes, students will lose credit for videos under 6 minutes.
If you have a creative idea (not mentioned in the handout) please feel free to discuss with me before starting this project. There are many ways in which this project can be completed, I have just provided you with a few ideas.
Please be familiar with the technology of how to record and download a video tape. There are many options to download the video – including YouTube. If you need assistance with how to record or download a video, please reach out to me early in the course so that I have time to work with you and assist. It is recommended that you turn in your assignment early in the week it is due to avoid any last-minute emergencies or technical difficulties.
The slideshow project is to present it in a creative, original and engaging way. This project can take any number of forms. Your project can follow one of these formats below or you can propose something completely different. I’d love to hear your ideas! Here are some initial ideas to get you thinking:
1. Interview someone about your chosen topic.
2. Create a blog/podcast discussing your chosen topic.
3. Insert a movie/TV clip about your chosen topic.
4. Include animation in your presentation.
5. Present a demonstration about your topic.
