Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to write a literature review on the use of integrative theory in clinical practice or research studies

Critically analyze the philosophical underpinnings of nursing theories (EOPSLO # 1 & 4).

Critique nursing’s conceptual models, grand theories, and mid-range theories (EOPSLO #

3). Examine the influence that nursing models and theories have upon research and practice (EOPSLO # 3, 5, & 9).

Apply nursing theory or theories to nursing research (EOPSLO # 4 & 9).

To complete this assignment, you will need to access the Miami Regional University virtual library database: CINAHL Complete Database, MEDLINE Complete Database, LIRN, and so forth. This assignment is worth 30% of the course grade and will be graded on the required components as summarized in the directions and grading criteria/rubric. The length of the project report is to be no fewer than four and no greater than six pages, excluding the title page and reference pages.

The textbook required for this course may be used as a reference for this assignment but does not count towards the required minimum number of scholarly references.
