The goal of this assignment is to create a preassessment that is aligned to your lesson plan and can help you in the design (or revision) of your formative assessment:
Your lesson plan should be based on the ages and areas you teach.
Assignment:
Based on the standards (Next Generation Learning Standards) aligned to your formative assessment, you will now move to creating a pre-assessment (4-6 questions to assess prior knowledge of skills, knowledge and important vocabulary) that the student needs to know and be able to do before the lesson you are teaching (planned for).
For this pre-assessment, use EACH of the following selected response formats (at least one time):

When designing the pre-assessment, consider the related skills students would need. Identify Knowledge and Reasoning Learning Targets for the content of the FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT PLAN and construct items. Consider the prior knowledge, skills and academic language which are expected to be mastered before you teach the current lesson. You will implement your pre-assessment to your chosen grade level learners and determine if the learner has mastered your previously identified prior knowledge and skills. Determine how this may or may not impact your delivery of the lesson plan/assessment.

In this work, describe the prior knowledge skills and knowledge targets and the success criteria at each of the levels.
