Reviewing peer reviewed literature and
secondary sources may serve as evidence for your Capstone topic and problem.
Many journal articles, data from the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) reports,
memos from a town, or internal reports can also serve as sources for your
literature review. Understanding the importance of a literature review and then
discussing the sources you intend to use can help with ensuring you are on the
right track and your peers may provide other ideas to help you identify sources
that can be used in your Literature Review.
Instructions
In this assignment, discuss
the sources that you plan to use in your review of the literature. Be sure to
explain the importance of these sources and how they align with the topic and
problem you previously identified. You may discuss the steps required when
conducting a review of the literature, including the use of any databases,
using keywords in a search, and what should be avoided in the review of
literature.
