Part 1. Develop and submit a detailed outline that describes the process problem you are investigating, lists the sources you intend to use, and discusses the problem-solving approach(es) you feel would be appropriate to use in addressing the problem.
Outline the process problem you are investigating and list all the relevant sources you propose to utilize. Identify and choose a problem-solving approach for your selected project.
You may use the tools presented In Chapter 4 of your text, or you may prefer to read about other ways that improvement projects are structured. The following are easy to research online and may prove helpful as you develop your plans:

Deming cycle
Scientific method
Six Sigma variation analysis
8D
The Five Whys /root Cause Analysis
Benchmarking
This list is by no means comprehensive, and unless you or your mentor have experience with any of these tools, you may find our text to represent the simplest approach.
After you have received feedback on your outline from your mentor and acted on any recommendations you will be ready to produce the final version of your project and submit it by the end of Module 6.
