Racial Socialization and Identity Formation (H, 50, 53, 236-237) Note: Identity Formation refers to all aspects of a person’s identity. Gender identity is one part of the process.

Links should be specific and identify and define concepts and theories (use the terms to label concepts and topics such as secure attachment, or Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development), with references (i.e., Heath, 149). With each concept linked to the article, you will analyze the parent-child relationship describing how that concept helps us understand an aspect of the relationship. Address the following in your analysis.
The effects of the current circumstances on the parent and their methods of parenting.
The possible effects of the parent’s methods on the child’s developmental outcome and the health of their relationship.
