Please see the list of Approved Online Performances under Discussions – Concert Attendance Venues. No concert program is needed for this option.
Required & Graded assignment
Any non- GSU/PC performance has to be pre-approved before the event (non-pandemic situation).
Submit here: the concert program and the review for a full grade (100%). Any missed submission = 0%.
Concert program (non-pandemic only): (50%) After attending a concert, please turn in a program (scanned/digital photo – minimum 200dpi, jpg file format).
Written review: 1,200 words minimum (=50%). Required file formats: doc, docx (double-spaced). Percentage points will be subtracted if submitted in less words count. Other file formats = 0%.
Content: personal experience during a performance: critique of the performers, composers and works heard, techniques and instrumentation. Aspects of music form, music interpretation, and stylistic authenticity could be addressed. Be as specific and descriptive as possible of the event attended and no general terms/bio facts please.
All submitted written materials will be checked for originality via Turnitin plug-in and any detected violations such as plagiarism, cheating, unauthorized collaboration, falsification, or multiple submissions will be reported in accordance with the current college policy and subjected to the appropriate academic or disciplinary action.
