of conversation worth reporting. There may be an
outbreak of a disease, or some food product or water
source contaminated with a microbe.
Directions:
1. Listen to/Watch/Research the current news for
some microbiological topic of medical importance;
find something current where a person or persons
have gotten sick from some microbe recently. Your
research may be from a television news report, may
be from a newspaper, a journal article, or a
magazine. Submit a full copy of the article into the
dropbox located in the Current Events folder. Your current event date parameters are May 15 to July 23 – the article date must be inside of these dates for this semester and must pertain to a microbial organism.
