will find this sentence: “Closely related to the idea of ZPD is the concept
of scaffolding developed by Jerome Bruner (Wood et al., 1976)” on page 51
(Santrock & Roehrig, 2024).
Find and read the
two required readings in the Brightspace – (a) the textbook and (b) Wood et
al. (1976) – and discuss the meaning of the sentence provided above. More
specifically, you can find the similarities between Vygotsky’s ZPD and the
scaffolding mentioned by Bruner, Wood, and Ross in their 1976 article.
