1. What are the principles of Engineering? Applying an Engineering approach to security.

As part of your project you should identify the nature of your intended student audience, and actually test it out on people and use your materials to teach them to get evidence that your activity or case study is effective.

The written report is a 4 to 10-pages document (not including appendices). It is to outline your Project as planned in Week 1, demonstrating the outcomes you achieved against those you initially proposed, and including a reflection on what you have learned by doing it.

You will (separately) keep a weekly update on your progress on the project each week. You may wish to refer to this in your report for reflections on dealing with problems and any insights or breakthroughs you had, and also for evidence of sustained work.

Your report’s content will depend on what you chose to do from:

What we are looking for

Evidence of research conducted, including a list of all relevant references
Any issues you had and how you addressed them.
Any professional/ethical issues you encountered or analysed and what you did, and how effective it was.
Anything else you did which is evidence of you developing and demonstrating professional behaviour.
Your assessor will spend a strict limit of 20 minutes reading and assessing your final report. This includes time checking a sample of the evidence and any appendices, so it is firmly in your interest to make your response clear, fast and easy to read and to clearly indicate the most important features. You should similarly make the evidence easy to access and understand. Although you are not explicitly marked on clarity having a clearer answer will better allow the assessor to appreciate the points you are trying to make.
