Assignment Content Overview In this module, you will analyze the retail apparel industry (segment as you like). This includes and general environment, porter five forces, and competitive landscape. For this assignment you will develop a slide deck with presenter notes for the retail apparel industry from the the perspective of Lululemon. This teaching is to prepare you to develop an industry analysis presentation. Submit a PowerPoint file with presentation slides along with a word document with detailed notes about each slide. This should be submitted as two separate documents, one ppt and one microsoft word. Do not submit links or links to documents that need to be opened. Here is a summary of what you need to cover in your presentation. Number of slides should be between 10 and 15. Keep in mind to synthesize information you need to paraphrase, summarize, and sometimes quote. Do not just cut and paste paragraphs from ChatGPT. Summarize the Segments of the General Environment for Lulu Lemmon (See Table 2-1) How does the general environmental analysis affect each of Porter’s Five Forces (See section 2.5). Use Porter’s Five Forces model to analyze the company’s industry. Here you need to analyze each force against some of the general environmental categories (technological, demographic, economic, political/legal, sociocultural, global, and physical environment trends). What is causing the force to change? When analyzing the competitive rivalry do a competitor analysis as shown in figure 2.3. Finally, focus on the intersection between changes in the macro environment and what the business needs are now and in the future to determine and list the company’s opportunities and threats.
