Analysis Subsection (within the Methods section)

Provide a clear description of:

  • The statistical procedures used to answer your evaluation question (e.g., paired samples t-test or Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test)
  • The specific variables from the Week 6 dataset that you used. Your evaluation question must be based on a pre–post variable included in the provided dataset (e.g., SDQ_pre/SDQ_post, PHQA_pre/PHQA_post, GAD7_pre/GAD7_post, YOQ_pre/YOQ_post, CANS_pre/CANS_post, PSS_pre/PSS_post).
  • Any data cleaning or screening steps (e.g., handling missing values, checking outliers, assessing normality)
  • Your rationale for selecting the statistical test you used (e.g., was normality met? )

See page 222 of the textbook for formatting guidance.

2. Results Section

Use the Week 6 data file provided below (not the Week 5 hypothetical data you created). You can use either the SPSS file (programeval.sav) or the Excel file (program_eval_dataset.xlsx)

Program eval codebook.docx

programeval.sav

program_eval_dataset.xlsx

Report your statistical findings using appropriate conventions:

  • Descriptive statistics (means/SDs or medians/IQR if using Wilcoxon)
  • Inferential results (test statistic, df where applicable, p-value)
  • Effect size (e.g., Cohen’s d for t-test, or r for Wilcoxon)
  • APA-style formatting
  • Tables or graphs to illustrate key results

Your results should clearly communicate whether there was meaningful change from pre- to post-intervention and what that change implies for program effectiveness.

The assignment is due by end of the day on Sunday.
