Option #2: Interdisciplinary Possibilities
For the past 20 years or so, there has been an emphasis in higher ed on studying business or STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields. However, as we have seen, there are those who argue in favor of integrating Humanistic studies into all fields. Based on your review of this week’s Required Learning Resources and your participation in this class over the last seven weeks, please do the following:
Discuss what you think the value of the humanities is to other fields.
Provide a specific example of how you could incorporate something you have learned about the Humanities to your own past, present or future employment situation OR Explain how you might convince someone in business or a STEM field of the value of the Humanities.
In your discussion, include one quote from this week’s Required Learning Resources, or from week 1’s Required Resources to support your points.
Make sure to provide in-text citations for both quotes in MLA format.
Provide references for all sources in MLA format.
