Based on the key areas of
risk and control weakness noted in the case study, a five-page (maximum) preliminary
management letter should be compiled reporting the observation (i.e. what did you find?),
implication (i.e. why is it a problem?), and recommendation (i.e. what should the client do
to remedy the issue?) of the five most important IT audit issues (based on what we know
now). Assume the details provided in the case are factual and are able to be confirmed
during the IT audit testing. Although we can assume that additional findings will be
uncovered during the actual IT control testing at the client, this preliminary document will
report the current issues known to the audit team. This is the second deliverable requirement for this IT audit. I have attached what was submitted for the first deliverable (risk memo and IT audit planning file) so that this document meshes well with ideas discussed in those already submitted but also for you to use for your reference. A copy of the case itself has also been attached to use to come up with ideas for the management letter. A template for the management letter has also been provided. Please use this template and fill all 5 pages of it, using font size 12.
