You may choose one of two topics for this paper. Topic 1: Choose a real-life criminal case that used criminal profiling in order to solve the case. Write about specifically how criminal profiling was utilized in order to solve the case, along with the offenders modus operandi and other pertinent information. You may discuss the investigation, all the way through criminal trial.
Topic 2: Choose a real-life criminal case that you believe can be solved using criminal profiling. In order to choose this topic, it will have to be heavily documented, likely with existing theories. You may use theories, if you relate them to the text and what you have learned in this course. Use what you have learned in the text to relate it to how you believe the case can be solved and you may develop a profile through your research as long as you document specifically how you utilized the textbook teachings to create it.
