1. The first three chapters, Part 1, publish 1, has been completed but still need corrections (in the attached Word document 1/15/23 and completed separately according to the notes below in the thread. 2. The other Word Doc attachment is the entire project with the table of contents (titled ministry project final revision) that need to be corrected in its entirety according to the notes in thread and attached MRP requirements in PDF. See thread below:
It looks like you need to rework your content so that it complies with the ORU DMin MRP requirements.
Per our earlier emails, and per Celine Butler’s emailed information to me, I copied and pasted your first 3 chapters into my Part 1, publish 1, template document. It includes a correctly formatted Title Page. However, Celine said that you did not need any of the rest of the Front Matter at this time, so there is no Table of Contents, etc.
I went through all of this and did what I could to make the material at least structurally correct according to the ORU DMin Form and Style. This included:
Chapter Divisions
Headings
Line Spacing
Spacing Before and After Paragraphs
Single Quotation Marks that needed to be Double Quotation Marks
Changed 1st and 2nd with Bible book names to 1 and 2 (e.g. 1st Timothy to 1 Timothy)
Re-worked Footnotes
Only the Footnoted references are in this Bibliography
Spacing problems
Pagination
And some other things
DO NOT SUBMIT THIS DOCUMENT TO THE ORU DMIN, BECAUSE YOU NEED TO DO A LOT OF WORK IN THIS.
All of your material MUST be written and arranged according to the ORU DMin MRP Writing Procedures and Standards for Part 1, Chapters 1-3. I have placed a statement about this at the beginning of each chapter.
You should not be using first person (I, me, my, mine, we, us, our) and not be using second person (you, your, yours) anywhere in these chapters, except the Cultural and Personal section in Chapter 2. I have placed a statement about this at the beginning of each chapter.
One of your biggest stylistic textual problems is that your current text is not written like an academic doctoral ministry research project. Your text is written like a sermon and/or conversation. One example of this sermon/conversation wording is: “When you look at . . . .” This type of wording is prevalent throughout the document, and is not acceptable.
There should be a lot more footnotes in this to indicate all of the materials that you borrowed from other sources. You even have direct quotations that do not have footnotes. Some of this could border on plagiarism. In Part 1, you should have a minimum of 60 sources, and these should be used in your text with appropriate footnoting of borrowed materials.
In addition to the work that I did in this Part 1, publish 1, document, you have a lot of work to do before this should every be submitted.
